Their online forum is extensive and has an occupational therapist, nutritionist and psychologist on board to answer your questions. Single Mothers who have Children with Autism
"This page was created by a single mom raising a child with autism to serve as a forum for single mothers who have children with autism to share experiences, stories, resources, trials, challenges, achievements, recommendations, funny stories and any helpful advice that may help another mom facing a similar situation. As single parents, having a support system of not just family and friends is crucial. Having a group of people who are not only familiar with autism but also know and understand exactly what you’re going through as a single parent may be able to help you out with the intricacies of the condition and how best to cope. Our goal is to create and foster a support system that will be beneficial to all our members. Feel free to visit, like and share our with others." https://www.facebook.com/pages/Single-Mothers-who-have-Children-with-Autism/258728120832823?sk=wall |

Autism Advantage (AUS)
"Autism Advantage was formed in 2011 to offer emotional and practical support to parents, teachers and carers of ASD children. "Welcome to Autism Advantage. It is important to us that these forums are a place of support, fun, honest and a safe place to fall for all of you. Before posting we ask that you take into consideration how other people may be feeling. We ask that you be supportive even when you may be finding it difficult to understand. The one thing our members do not need is to be judged. Often when parents get to us they are at the end of their tether, desperate and lonely. Posts that are unsupportive or judgemental will be removed because we can simply not take risks with our member’s wellbeing." http://autismadvantage.com.au/ |
