World Autism Awareness Day 2013
World Autism Awareness Day is an initiative of the United Nations and was first celebrated in 2008. It is a day to raise awareness of ASD and to celebrate the diffability and achievements of Autistic individuals, with events taking place all over the globe.

Table prizes, raffles, silent auction and a performance of Company@'s "History of Autism" 
All proceeds from the night go towards the world premiere showing of ‘History of Autism’
at APAC 2013 and again in the 2014 Fringe.

SA Water Zoo Accessible Adventure Days
Free face painting, special activities, animal exhibits and displays daily between 12 - 3pm. Qualified HOMECARE PLUS Support Worker on duty to help with general needs - people requiring personal or medical support MUST bring along their own Carer. Only those with a disability or accompanying a person with a disability are eligible for discounted tickets and must bring a copy of the flyer (available online) - proof of disability may be requested.

When: From Friday 5th to Monday 8th April, from 10am -4pm daily.

On Friday 19th April 2013, The Autism Advisor Program in conjunction with the Department of Families, Housing, Community Services and Indigenous Affairs will proudly present: ASD EX – Pathways for Services Expo. 

This is an exhibition specifically designed for the South Australian ASD community to find out the very best and latest service information available in SA for children aged 7 years and under living with an ASD.

Tips for Everyday Life Skills: Toileting  (Early Days) - Campbelltown
In this workshop you will learn: Toilet training a young child can be a challenge for most parents. Toilet training a child with ASD can pose additional challenges and stress. This short 2 hour workshop helps participants to understand: some of the factors that can affect a child with ASD while toilet training,  strategies you can use with any self care skill , particular   strategies for toilet training your child, environmental changes or equipment options that can assist

Progression to School for Me and My Child (Early Days) - Campbelltown 
Starting school can be exciting but also create anxiety for both you and your child. Children with ASD entering the school environment can also present additional areas for concern or stressors. This short 2 hour workshop help participants to understand some of the proactive actions that can be taken as well as; the importance of working as a transition team, tips and idea to help you prepare your child for school, preparing for unknown situations, info about funding options available after your child turns 7 years old.
